Food, Drinks & Celebration
Get ready to experience a South Moravian wedding. There will be lots of meet, wine, and ‘brandy’ (weird English translation, since it is clear alcohol).
Czech weddings start prior to the ceremony for guests with light snacks and refreshments while they wait for the Bride and Groom to arrive.
After the ceremony, we will all be transported to Pod Kumstatem Winery – the location for the reception.
Before we can eat our lunch, there will be a few Czech traditions for the Bride and Groom – but we don’t want to ruin the surprise!
The Wedding lunch consists of soup and svičkova (classic Czech dish that is beef with a cream sauce) – beyond dietary restrictions everyone is offered the same dish.
After the lunch there will be a few surprises for our guests to soak in the South Moravian vibes before the band starts to play.
In the evening it is traditional to have a raut (think hunting lodge) with a buffet of food that you can eat from whenever you get hungry full of tasty meals in between dancing.
